Walmart said Tuesday it has announced plans to release a spin bike, a spin cart, and a spin wheel, all named after the characters from the popular children’s television show “Spin,” the company said.
Spin, which aired from 1994 to 1997, follows the adventures of four children as they travel through time and space.
It’s a hit on DVD and television, and it inspired a spinoff series from Nickelodeon, “Spine.”
The spin and spin bike announcements come a week after Walmart said it would launch an online store with a spin and roll wheel service, a Spin Card, a limited edition spin and wheel and a Spin Gear, a Walmart spin and gear.
Walmart said it is currently in the “final stages of developing and deploying” spin and wheels in its stores and will announce further details in coming weeks.
Walmart’s Spin Wheel Service, which will offer customers a free spin and rolling cart, was recently featured in an episode of “The Simpsons,” the popular animated sitcom.
Spine was named after a spin-off of the hit children’s show, “Pinocchio,” based on the fictional town of Pinocchio.
