The latest update comes from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) which said Friday that there were 23,622 diagnoses of spina bichromatosis reported in the United State.
The number is a slight uptick from the previous week, which saw 23,908 diagnoses.
The CDC has said that spina-bifida is a rare disorder that can cause joint pain, swelling and inflammation.
